(BEIJING, July 10) -- This month's "Queuing Day" -- July 11 -- will focus on orderly queuing in Beijing's tourist attractions, cultural places and entertainment facilities.

The organizers of the campaign said volunteers and employees will tell visitors and spectators to queue before ticket counters, entrances, photo spots, lifts, restrooms, parking lots in the city's parks, cinemas and other places.

In addition, supervisors will help commuters queue at 1,800 bus stops.

Simultaneously, a children's painting contest under the theme "I witness civilized queuing" will be held at Shijingshan Park in west Beijing to encourage people to behave properly and politely.

The city has been striving to eradicate queue-jumping before next year's Olympics for half a year now.

The Beijing government has also called on people to refrain from using dirty words, to keep the streets clean, to follow the rules at sports venues and to treat others with sincerity and honesty.
